 If 95% of the people on earth right now were to suddenly die, the total population of the earth would still be higher than it was in the at any point prior to a thousand years ago. Put another way, in the last thousand years the total number of humans living on earth has increased twenty-fold. |

Precisely why I'm never having kids!!
*If* it ever strikes me to have kids (which I don't forsee), I'll adopt. Take care of the boom, not contribute to it.
If you added the total number of people who have EVER lived since the dawn of man to the poeple alive today - Only 40% of the total population would be dead
